I’m Al Joseph, founder of the ShredFest Academy and your guide to reaching the next level in your guitar playing for good..
As a world renown guitar artist and instructor, it's hard to unsee the struggle that plagues many intermediate players throughout the guitar community. You shouldn't have to suffer failure due to your love for this instrument.
You're able, you are capable, and you deserve to get back what you put into the guitar. But let's explore the reasons why you're not seeing the results you desire. It's not easy but it's simple, so let me show you how to get back on track...
YOU SKIPPED THE FUNDAMENTALS
Admit it. You relied on your talent. It's that simple. This happens for so many reasons but always remember that work always trumps talent.
And here's why...
Every skill requires a path to its full potential. I don't care if it's plate spinning, the person that spends the most time on the most basic concepts cultivates a winning strategy.
Face it, when times got tough and you realized you weren't the hottest shit guitar player in the end you quit. We all go through this frustrating period at times but if you want a greater reason to keep going then get more skin in the game.
There's no higher price to pay than discipline and that starts with going back and finishing the job with mastering your fundamental movements, theory, navigation and overall knowledge of the guitar.

YOU'RE NOT CONSISTENT ENOUGH
You gotta admit to yourself that the growth you're looking for is hidden in the consistent work you put in.
This isn't going to be easy. You're not in pain because guitar is hurting you, you're in pain because you simply haven't discovered your next notch.
Consistency is the key here...
This is about picking up that guitar "Every Damn Day". Stop blaming your marriage, your schooling and your job. Own up to the commitment you made and settle the score. I'm going to teach you how to manage your time, strategize, and execute for life.

YOUR STRATEGY DOESN'T WORK
Or you simply just don't have one to begin with. Look, I'm not saying this to discourage you but I am trying to piss you off. Why? YouTube. That's why.
Most of you are just simply doing this for the wrong reasons. Cultivating a skill takes direction and that direction is birthed from a real strategy. Instead of lurking around on YouTube for free PDFs, E-Courses, etc. Get some real training.
Playing the guitar takes far greater attention and discipline and cannot be explained in a mere "how to" video. This is a lifestyle so closely look at your level, clarify your goals, and quit pinching pennies for knowledge.

YOU NEED TO MAKE BETTER INVESTMENTS
Stop pretending that becoming a guitar legend is free. Grow up and understand that I myself and many others in this industry have spent tens of thousands on education, mentorship, gear, tours Etc. etc. etc.
Even after reaching this level the list goes on. Save your money for milestones that can truly change the course of your life. Think about it. That's why you're trapped in the YouTube rat race. Wake up, save your money, and invest in your future.
I'm your guide so let's make this happen.
YOU DON'T ACT QUICKLY ENOUGH
Seizing opportunities isn't about a rat races or a "see who gets there first scenarios". It's not about beating the other person or outclassing the competition. In fact, the only competition that matters is the motherfucker staring back at you in the mirror.
You see, every time you hesitate that guy punishes you for it. You're teaching him that great opportunities don't matter to you. You're showing him that you can get away with it. You're lying to yourself.
You can't lie to the "competition", you can only lie to that guy. Don't let your subconscious punish you any longer. Forgive yourself and start acting on the things that truly make you happy. Now.
